Why did you choose to complete an internship in Australia?

Australia is a lively country with many job opportunities, especially in the F&B sector. I believe the opportunities will help me enhance my skills, and knowledge and to reach my goals. 

What challenges have you faced, and how has AI contributed to softening your internship experience abroad?

The biggest challenge I faced was finding accommodation in Australia. However, Australian Internships provided me with many websites and groups on Facebook, where I could find the right accommodation for myself within the right budget.

How do you define your work environment, and how has it influenced your training process?

I’m interning in a hotel chain, which is the perfect place for practical learning. Working in an extensive organisation with people from different cultural backgrounds has allowed me to sharpen my soft skills by communicating with customers. Moreover, I am really glad that my team is cooperative and they create a really lively atmosphere. 

What hospitality skills have you developed?

As mentioned before, the fact that people have diverse backgrounds has enabled me to communicate efficiently in English and serve the needs of our guests in a much better way.

What advice would you give future interns regarding internships?

For the people who wish to explore more in the F&B sector and would love to intern in Australia, which I have been offered, it's an amazing journey to challenge yourselves with new experiences. There's no doubt that the work during this internship is enormous and sometimes nerve-wracking, but at the same time, it will help you grow by leaps and bounds. You are going to love the experience. 

Any comment that you would like to share about your journey to Australia, such as the visa process and positive feedback on your internship?

Australian Internships has really smoothened the complicated visa approval process. Not just the paperwork, they also did a great job in preparing me with everything regarding Australia, the new culture and my workplace. 

What do you enjoy most about Australia?

I feel Australia is a great place to mingle with culturally and professionally diverse groups of people. Also, Australia is so beautiful and amazing! I love to travel, and this country offers many great places for a travel lover like me.
