AGED & DISABILITY CARE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Looking to build a meaningful career while gaining hands-on experience in Australia?
Our Aged & Disability Care Internship Program is a unique opportunity for aspiring professionals in Aged Care, Disability Support, and Nursing to develop practical skills and grow within one of Australia’s most essential and rewarding industries.

This sector is one of the fastest-growing in the country, with over 250,000 additional aged care workers needed by 2050 (Australian Government). In a sign of this strong demand, the Fair Work Commission increased minimum award wages for aged care workers by 15% in June 2023 and further increases are not excluded as the sector continues to evolve and attract more qualified professionals.

Through this program, candidates will:

• Gain valuable professional experience in real aged care environments

• Develop essential workplace skills and confidence

• Boost their employability in the care and nursing sectors

All internships are paid positions, with a minimum wage of $28/hour, in accordance with Australian employment standards. Opportunities are available in both metropolitan and regional areas across Australia.

If you're passionate about Aged & Disability Care and ready to take the next step in your career, this program is for you!

START DATES and lead time

Interns can choose their preferred start dates; however, we recommend allowing a lead time of approximately 6 to 8 months to ensure a smooth process.

If you're applying for a 407 Training Visa, please note that visa processing times are determined by the Department of Home Affairs and are beyond our control. This time is in addition to the preparation period mentioned above.

For candidates who already hold a valid visa (such as a Working Holiday Visa), the process may be quicker — but we still recommend starting early to allow enough time for interview arrangements and host confirmation.

Planning ahead gives you the best chance of securing a meaningful internship experience!
