Brief description of tasks:
• Planning project materials, and drafting construction plans with appropriate methods and procedures to ensure quality compliance.
• Incorporating changes to plans as needed and ensuring these changes fit materials requirements;
• Advising on-site construction to ensure adherence to plans;
• Determining site suitability to project needs;
• Costing produced plans regarding materials and labour needs;
• Assisting with estimating and tendering.
• Liaising with site crews and subcontractors to ensure all works are carried out in a safe and timely manner following project specifications.

VACANCY 2163 - PAID INTERNSHIP

Junior Site Engineer Internship position in Sydney. Ideally Monday to Friday.

List of duties below (not exhaustive):

•read and decipher all the technical drawings

•identify errors if any which could be dimensions, nomenclature etc and need to be rectified

•quantifying the quantities of works from excavation to finishing works, bar bending schedule

•coordinate with different contractors, agencies, and supervisors for the smoother function of the project

•communicate necessary information/instructions to supervisors and departmental workers

•prepare and submit daily progress report, monthly progress reports, consumption reports with coordination with the stores and site team.

•assist the senior engineer in checking and certifying the various contractor's bills

•discuss with the senior engineer the technical problems, execution difficulties

•perform mathematical and physical calculations under the supervision of an experienced engineer

•actively involved in project planning and plan all activities in advance.

Host Organisation is a piling and complete basement specialist that manages several civil projects in NSW.
