“I am completing a 3 month internship at a small architecture firm in the suburb of Dandenong in Melbourne, Australia. Completing my masters during the COVID-19 pandemic was something I did not expect. As a result, my goals for starting my career were put on hold as the world dealt with a global pandemic. Applying to Australian Internships is a decision I am glad I made. I knew with their connections they would have the ability to help me start my career and now I am enjoying an internship where I am learning a lot. 

As an intern, I have been getting first-hand experience of what it's like to work at an architectural firm. At the moment, I have been learning how to use ArchiCad and I have been learning a lot about building regulations and gaining a wealth of real world experience that compliments the design-oriented knowledge I acquired at university. I was always aware that what you learn in the classroom will always be different when you step into the real world and it's been made abundantly clear as I complete my internship. Through the completion of this internship, I have had the opportunity to acquire so much more knowledge and gained new connections that will help me greatly as I continue to develop my career. “
