Why did you choose to complete an internship?

My university (Drexel) back in the states is not your standard 4-year university with 2 semesters each year. It is a 5-year university built in with 6-month co-operative education opportunities in the form of working internships in our specified field of study. As this past spring and current summer was my 3rd and final co-op cycle, I wanted to do something different and challenge myself in new ways by deciding to do my final cycle abroad in Ireland for the spring and here in Melbourne for the summer.

What have you learned the most during your internship?

I have worked on an array of projects in the past few weeks mostly with website mockups and updates as well as contributing articles. I have learned the most about creating ads and campaigns with digital marketing tools such as google adwords and analyzing company website statistics.

What benefits do you feel AI contributed to your internship and time in Australia?

Australian Internships was helpful every step of the way in the process leading up to coming here. Consistent contact was very helpful and I didn’t feel at any point in the process leading up that I wasn’t “in the know”.

What have you enjoyed the most during your internship?

I enjoy how different it is and how it’s not that different at the same time. There are quite a few similarities of big city living here and back in Philadelphia in the states as well.

What advice you would offer someone considering interning abroad in Australia?

My advice for future interns is to get out and explore the city you are in as much as you can on the weekends. Here in Melbourne, it is super easy to navigate around anywhere via train, tram or just walking.
